Last year, I made these cute Valentine Pom Monsters and they were a huge hit!  {If you missed that post, click HERE!}  This year’s treat for Reed’s class is a variation on that project.  Using Valentine Tootsie Pops, I created these Love Bug Pops for the kiddo to pass out to his classmates!

Wanna make your own Love Bug Pops?

Here’s what you need:

Tootsie Pops

Yarn

Googly eyes

Pipe cleaners

Foam heart stickers

Hot glue gun

After making the pom poms on my pom pom maker, slide the stick of the sucker through the center of the pom.  {Click HERE for the tutorial on using the Pom Pom Maker!}

Cut the pipe cleaner into eight separate 2 inch pieces – two for antennae and 6 for legs.  Hot glue in place.

Add foam heart stickers to tops of the antennae and to make wings on the pom.

Hot glue some googly eyes on the pop wrapper and you are set!

Seriously…how cute is that?

I like them better than the Pom Monsters!

Reed is already asking how long until Valentine’s Day.  He is excited to pass them out!  I think he just wants to eat the sucker…
