Reed is the perfect age for helping in the kitchen! He loves to add ingredients and stir things up. However, the more he is in the kitchen, the dirtier he gets. With all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday, I don’t have time to sew him up a fancy apron. I created this No Sew Christmas Kid’s Apron to help keep him somewhat clean during the Christmas baking season!
Wanna create you own No Sew Christmas Kid’s Apron?
Here’s what you need:
Child size apron {Hobby Lobby}
Scissors
Red and green ric rac
Yellow button
No sew fabric glue
Iron your apron before you begin applying the ric rac.
I just eyeballed the Christmas tree pattern. Cut a piece of green ric rac and use the fabric glue to apply to the apron.
Continue cutting and gluing the ric rac to the apron until you’ve created your Christmas tree. I glued a yellow button to the top to look like a star.
Then I cut two small pieces of red ric rac to use as a tree stump.
Isn’t it adorable? I love how it turned out! Totally versatile for boys and girls alike!
Not to mention, I have the cutest little chef/model EVER! But I may be a little biased…
These No Sew Christmas Kid’s Aprons are so easy to make! Ten minutes TOPS! A great project to let the kids help with and keep occupied during Christmas break!
Do you wear an apron when you cook? I don’t usually but I may have to make an adult sized version of this cute apron!
