Reed is finally at the age where he wants to help with what I’m doing or work on a project himself. Sometimes, I don’t feel comfortable having him help because he is a) a messy little boy and b) I am working with something toxic. When I was approached by Kiwi Crate to try out one of their new crates, I was so excited! Reed about fell over when he opened the Pirate Adventure. He was ready to get creating!
How many of you have heard of Kiwi Crate? Each crate is specially designed by moms for kids age 3-7. They introduce a variety of developmentally appropriate projects to inspire your little ones creativity. {Gosh – that sounds so gimmick-y but I seriously love this company!} The crates are $19.95 per month or you can subscribe for 3 month, 6 month and 12 month plans.
We opened our box and began looking through all of the fun pirate-y projects. The Pirate Adventure by Kiwi Crate included a pirate hat, treasure chest, treasure map, eye patch and stick parrot!
I did the cutting and helped him fold his pirate hat, but Reed was able to do everything else.
Once he had his pirate hat and eye patch, he went into full pirate mode and started calling me “Mate-y”….LOL I laughed so hard!
Then he decorated his little stick parrot and decided he would call him “Monster Parrot”.
His little treasure chest is going to be used to collect rocks {his decision}. He also asked me to fold up his map and put it in the chest.
We had a blast playing and creating together! He was even a good sport about me having to take pictures for the blog. I can’t wait until our next one!
Want your own Kiwi Crate? Here’s how to join the fun! They have two great promotions going on now but hurry they expire 6/3/13!
Have fun shopping!
I received free product from Kiwi Crate for the purpose of this review. You can read my full disclosure here.
